Mrs. Ludmila, a client from Kladno
A client from Kladno who acquired the system to increase her own feeling of security. As she says: “I worry that I might fall over somewhere and not be able to get up. And my children wouldn‘t find me till several days later!” The client has moved to Kladno with her dog Jakub. She is very active, keeps to her hobbies and walks her dog regularly. As she has spent most of her life in Prague, she does not have many friends in Kladno and her children also live elsewhere.
Are you satisfied with the service? Did it work how you wanted it to?
“So far I‘m satisfied with the service. When I take Kuba out for his walk, I always take the box with me. I occasionally come across some very strange people in the woods, so I‘m a bit afraid of what might happen. Like this I can always press the button if necessary, and I know that someone would help me.”
Do you think that this service can help seniors?
“The service is definitely interesting, and I think that it could help many seniors. Just like it is helping me now. Although personally I think that it is more for older seniors who have balance problems and who can easily fall and not be able to get up. I fell over at night once, when I was going to make myself some tea. I fell in such a bad way that I tore up my back. Luckily, I was able to get up and phone for help, but I still have a scar on my back from that night.”
What do you like most about the service?
“I like that I can take the box out with me. It‘s easy to control and I got used to it very quickly. Though this one time when I was getting ready to go out, the box started ringing of its own accord. Then a pleasant voice asked me if I was all right or if I needed anything? In the end I found out that I must have pressed the red alert button by mistake while getting dressed.”
