The Senior Inspect service   was developed to help seniors live in their home environment with assistance from their family. The mobile communication unit Senior Inspect-Basic allows crisis communication, fall and immobility detection, location tracking and other additional functions.

The condition of monitored persons is under observation for the whole 24 hours of every day, so as to allow seniors an independent life in their own home and the freedom of movement outside the house.

In case of more serious health problems, additional (wireless) medical sensors may be connected to the system to measure an extended set of physiological parameters.

Every user is monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by specialised personnel at the Senior Inspect control desk. As soon as either the client presses the safety button or the system itself detects a critical condition, the control desk operators immediately establish verbal contact with the user unit and ascertain the user‘s condition and their needs. The control desk operators then help provide the user with the optimal assistance (family, emergency services, neighbours etc.), according to pre-arranged personalised rules of procedure, contact lists and information about the client‘s current activity and location.

Easy-to-use mobile unit

The sensor unit of the Senior Inspect system is functionally very similar to a simple mobile phone. The controls on the user side are really very safe and easy to use. The sensor unit only has one button which the senior may use to send a distress call to the control centre, or if need be even to communicate by voice. The sensor unit is connected to a GSM network, which provides coverage anywhere at home, in the city or in the countryside.

24/7 control desk

An integral part of caring for seniors is our permanent, unceasing monitoring service. In the Senior Inspect system, this role is fulfilled by a professional control centre that monitors the condition of every user through their sensor unit 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, non-stop. The moment a senior presses the safety button or the system itself detects a critical condition, the personnel establish verbal contact with the senior to confirm their condition (to rule out a false alarm), and depending on the situation they immediately inform the client‘s family, his relatives or, if necessary, emergency services, thus ensuring prompt action.

GSM locating

To ensure the possibility of locating the senior in any situation, we equipped the Senior Inspect system with a positioning system. We can locate the user through the GSM network, which is available even in places not covered by GPS (i.e. inside buildings etc.).

Auto-detection of critical conditions

The high level of safety provided to the user by the Senior Inspect system also includes the automatic analysis of data received from the senior. Even the basic sensor unit contains an integrated motion sensor which can detect certain critical conditions (caused by a sudden fall for instance) without user action, ensuring a fast response and minimising subsequent problems. The sensor unit is also equipped with a wireless interface allowing for extensions connecting additional sensors (to measure blood pressure, EKG, a glucometer etc.).

Additional medical modules

We are working on medical modules which will enable the monitoring of certain types of physiological parameters (EKG, pressure, sugar levels, oxymetry, temperature, weight etc.) through wireless modular equipment. The system allows for the medical information to be further analysed by professional medical personnel and the user may choose to be regularly (or if necessary immediately) informed of his state of health. These modules will always be made available to all users of the system (both old and new).
